Warm Autumn Greetings to you all!
Just a short note this month as I give all my energy to preparing my upcoming workshop

You may join in person at Turf Valley in Ellicott City, Maryland or participate via live stream (recordings available).

Adrift
Everything is beautiful and I am so sad.
This is how the heart makes a duet of
wonder and grief.
The light spraying
through the lace of the fern is as delicate
as the fibers of memory forming their web
around the knot in my throat.
The breeze
makes the birds move from branch to branch
as this ache makes me look for those I’ve lost
in the next room, in the next song, in the laugh
of the next stranger.
In the very center, under
it all, what we have that no one can take
away and all that we’ve lost face each other.\
It is there that I’m adrift, feeling punctured
by a holiness that exists inside everything.
I am so sad and everything is beautiful.

THE FOURTH SIGN OF THE ZODIAC (PART 3)
I know, you never intended to be in this world.
But you’re in it all the same.
So why not get started immediately.
I mean, belonging to it.
There is so much to admire, to weep over.
And to write music or poems about.
Bless the feet that take you to and fro.
Bless the eyes and the listening ears.
Bless the tongue, the marvel of taste.
Bless touching.
You could live a hundred years, it’s happened.
Or not.
I am speaking from the fortunate platform
of many years,
none of which, I think, I ever wasted.
Do you need a prod?
Do you need a little darkness to get you going?
Let me be as urgent as a knife, then,
and remind you of Keats,
so single of purpose and thinking, for a while,
he had a lifetime.
~ Mary Oliver
I know you already know how amazing and essential I believe Yoga Nidra is to navigate these tumultuous times, find your true self, rest and restore, and create the conditions for deep and lasting healing of body, mind and spirit.
The truth is though, that not many of you are joining us and I'd love to know why? Is it the wrong day? Time? Are you not interested?
Is it the virtual aspect that doesn't appeal? Please help me know!
I'd be so grateful for some feedback as I'd like to make this available to as many as possible because of its amazing healing potential.
Please let me know!

Work with Me
It matters more than I can say to have a witness. In my work with clients, I do my best to be a nonjudgmental listener, so that together, we can create healing space for you to hear your own voice. The only work we each have to do in this precious life is to show up in our fullest, most magnificent glory. You are perfect in your uniqueness. Let's remember together.

"As counter-intuitive as it may seem, slowing down is often the very thing that reconnects you to your sense of momentum and purpose.
"Like pulling back the arrow in the bow and holding that tension until the target is clear, if we really want to make an eloquent offering of our lives, we have to step out of the ‘call and response’ relationship with the external world and locate our source of guidance within.
To hear the rhythm of your indigenous song, to fall in step with the poetry of your unfolding, first there must be a clearing away: a temenos of simplicity in which to dwell.
Strike a holy grove of silence where you can listen as you long to be heard, see as you long to be seen, recognize where you are relevant, needed and necessary in the Family of Things."
~ Toko-pa Turner
As you move into the stillness of winter and the busy-ness of the holidays, I hope you can make time for balance.
Embrace the paradox-allow sacred beauty to coexist with sacred sadness
Bless yourself and see how much easer it becomes to bless everything
Settle into the season with the willingness and courage to see the inner work asking to be done and devote your whole heart to doing it with grace
Create the space you need to heal
Take gentle care of your beautiful heart.
I am grateful for you all
Love
