September....already!
Once September begins, I know I always have to look out for spider webs on my early morning walks. They are dew-filled and beautiful, reflecting the sunlight. They also offer an invitation to pay attention. Otherwise, I walk into them face first or brush through and destroy them.
They are a representation of the web of life of which we are all a part and remind me of its beauty, strength and fragility.
Sometimes, especially in these strange times, it may seem impossible that our small acts of care or kindness matter-even if just saving a spider web.
But indigenous wisdom reminds us that these acts are the energy that we add to the world and they affect the whole web-for good or not. There is so much unconsciousness and unkindness.
You may wish to ask yourself some questions:
What are you adding to the web?
What energy signature are you leaving in your wake?
Are you being conscious about the imprint you are making?
Or are you unconsciously absorbing and reflecting what is all around you without question?
I believe it is our responsibility to be conscious, considerate and thoughtful as we move through these fragile times, especially knowing that our thoughts, words and deeds affect us all.
Yes, it takes time and hard work.
It is, though, an infinitely worthy and necessary practice.
And very hard to do when fearful and frazzled and spent.
(Y'all know I'm gonna say yoga nidra is essential here😍😴)
But the crises and challenges of these days also provide us with infinite possibilities and opportunities.
It all depends on how you choose to see.
I invite you to use this time of seasonal transition to see the opportunities.
To envision the life you wish to live and start living as if it is already so.
Don't wait for later.
Start living NOW
Be the best you can be.
Be who you came here in this lifetime to be.
Live into your dreams NOW.
This is NOT dependent on external circumstances.
Be YOU. Be the kindest.
Be the most peaceful.
Be the uniter.
Be the most understanding.
Be the most unique and real and true.
Let these transformative times break your heart open.
Come to life.
I'm bringing back the Sunday afternoon Donation Based Yoga Nidra for now and if there is interest I will add another evening session each month in the fall...and you can still join us monthly at Razz Yoga.
I know I may sound like a broken record, but now, more than ever, we all need deep and restorative rest to find the light in the darkness. To have the strength and courage to choose love.
Give yourself the gift of rest so that you can be the warrior that you are and let your light shine for all of us.

If like so many of us, you are struggling to find your way in these challenging times, I would be honored to help.
One of the most important things for healing is to feel empowered. Knowing that you can befriend yourself and create the container for deep healing is no small feat. With a unique combination of mindfulness, energy work and life experience, I can help you navigate .... not to the old self, but to the true self waiting to come into being.
In the Buddhist tradition, the Sangha is one of the 3 jewels: The Buddha, The Dharma (the teachings) and the Sangha (the community).
More than ever, in the divisiveness of these days, we need each other. I would love to be there for you.
Sangha
Teach me what I cannot learn alone.
Let us share what we know, and what we cannot fathom.
Speak to me of mysteries, and let us never lie
to one another.
May our fierce and tender longing
fuel the fire in our souls.
When we stand side by side, let us dare to focus our desire on the truth.
May we be reminders, each for the other, that the path of transformation passes through the flames.
To take one step is courageous; to stay on the path day after day, choosing the unknown, and facing yet another fear, that is nothing
short of grace.

“To the heart in you, don’t be afraid to feel.
To the sun in you, don’t be afraid to shine.
To the love in you, don’t be afraid to heal.
To the ocean in you, don’t be afraid to rage.
To the silence in you, don’t be afraid to break.”
~Najwa Zebian
As the darkness of the changing season begins to slowly encroach, remember to keep a candle burning in your heart.
Get deep rest and take gentle care of yourself so that you have energy for the diligent work needed to shift the negativity bias which is all pervasive these days.
You always get to choose how to see.
Don't be afraid to look.
Choose to come to your senses and feel your world, your heart, your life.
Choose kindness, understanding, tolerance and love.
Take the time you need to process all the grief of this life, these last 18 months, the world....and set the intention to balance the dark by stoking your inner, unwavering light.
Hold your pain with gentleness and love.
Don't be afraid to feel.
Tend yourself the way you always longed for and needed to be tended, whether you were or not.
Be what was perhaps missing for you.
Let yourself heal
Rumi says
"Don't turn your head
Keep looking at the bandaged place
It's where the light enters you"
Bring your light and love to the web of life. We all need you.
I wish you a bountiful summer's end and a peaceful transition to fall.
I'm grateful for you all
with love
gina
