March, Spring Equinox,Chaos, Change...
Late winter always brings hope, perseverance, and a quickening, within which is
an awareness of the value of waiting just a little longer, conserving just enough energy to burst forth in full abundance.
There is inevitable chaos in this bursting forth.
This year, it brings even more than the usual chaos and confusion, in the form of divisiveness, polarization... and unnecessary and unfathomable war.
My heart breaks to see the blatant and unthinkable hatred and violence being perpetrated upon the people of Ukraine.
In this tumultuous season of transformation, I hold deep hope in my heart that love will prevail in the world and this war will end rapidly and peacefully.
I send my love, deep respect and care to those suffering in Ukraine...and know that there are many other known and unknown-to-me people and places also in strife, with innumerable people suffering and fearful.
It is difficult not to collapse in despair. We are all so tired.
Yet I am inspired and uplifted by the courage of the Ukranian people.
I know that, while I cannot stop the war, and may not know what to do to help, I can work to heal the conflict in myself and in my community.
I can seek to offer kindness and compassion and refuse to give in to hatred and violence that can arise because we are so very tired, and so often afraid.
May we all realize that our individual intention to bring forth love and healing will feed the collective consciousness.
Let's work to fill the collective field with love and light-
but not in a way that spiritually bypasses the horror.
Here is a powerful perspective from Buddhist teacher Joan Halifax Roshi
Bearing Witness to Ukraine's Suffering
We practice to settle our nervous systems in order to remain clear headed and devoted to whatever work must be done to create the loving, peaceful and inclusive world that we know is possible, even though, at the moment, it may seem elusive.
We each have a unique and special gift.
To develop it and offer it is our purpose.
If we all do our part, we can change the world.
Watch people rising up for what matters, for kindness and sovereignty, refusing to be dominated by evil and greed.
It is clearly happening in Ukraine, and I am humbled to be a witness to the courage and true warriorship they are exhibiting.
May I find the courage to be so bold and sure.🌱💕

💕I offer these humble and bumbly words from my confused human heart, with deep respect, love and the certainty that they are completely inadequate for the gravity of what is happening in Ukraine-and around the world.
I acknowledge the many things that I may never know or understand.
I know for certain that I do not really know at all.
I also know that I really, really care.
💕
Meanwhile, this is a somber time of reevaluation;
remembering and honoring all that is being threatened,
grieving all that has been lost,
and restoring hope in all that can be.
Unbearable and remarkable all at once.

“later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered
where does it hurt?
it answered
everywhere
everywhere
everywhere.”
~ Warshan Shire

May you never be subservient.
May you never fall prey to fitting in.
May you always swirl in all the directions the sacred winds want to take you.
May you never hush your laughter or your tears.
May you breathe without restriction.
May you show up every single day to the calling that is you
and may you always know the courage of your heart.

Once you have genuinely, fully, and tenderly touched your own brokenness, place a seed in the crack. Make a wish in that fissure, and share with yourself the aimless kindness of your own presence.

💕A Heartfelt Practice for all of us💕
A scientifically controlled study conducted by German researchers at the University of Kassel has shown that while the chest area of an average person emits only 20 photons of light per second, someone who meditates on their heart center and sends love and light to others emits an amazing 100,000 photons per second. That is 5000 times more than the average human being. Numerous studies have also shown that when these photons are infused with a loving and healing intent, their frequency and vibration increases to the point where they can literally change matter, heal disease, and transform negative events.
Ten minutes of meditating on compassion,
on kindness for others,
and you will see its effects all day.
That’s the way to maintain
a calm and joyous mind.”
From The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness
in a Changing World" by Dalai Lama
“I cannot tell you
how the light comes.
What I know
is that it is more ancient
than imagining.
That it travels
across an astounding expanse
to reach us.
That it loves
searching out
what is hidden
what is lost
what is forgotten
or in peril
or in pain.
That it has a fondness
for the body
for finding its way
toward flesh
for tracing the edges
of form
for shining forth
through the eye,
the hand,
the heart.
I cannot tell you
how the light comes,
but that it does.
That it will.
That it works its way
into the deepest dark
that enfolds you,
though it may seem
long ages in coming
or arrive in a shape
you did not foresee.
And so
may we this day
turn ourselves toward it.
May we lift our faces
to let it find us.
May we bend our bodies
to follow the arc it makes.
May we open
and open more
and open still
to the blessed light
that comes.”
—Jan Richardson
