An opportunity for graduates of the mindfulness classes to refresh and reinvest in mindfulness practices by coming together on a bi monthly basis in community.
The retreat is open to all past and present participants of the 8 week class, and we have created a large and lovely sangha (community of practitioners) over the years.
We spend 6 hours in practice guided by me, while all participants are silent to allow deep inner work in a supported space. There is a silent shared potluck lunch, opportunities for sitting, walking, yoga , yoga nidra and more.
Casa del Sol, New Mexico
A fabulous opportunity for those interested in deeper work to immerse in silence and present moment awareness in the glorious high desert landscape of North Central New Mexico. We rent an adobe house in the shadow of red cliff chimneys in the land where Georgia O’Keefe lived and painted on the grounds of Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu.
All the meals are prepared freshly using local and organic produce, mostly from the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market, and Ayurvedic principles. In the past 2 years we’ve been blessed with the presence of my beloved teacher, Amadea Morningstar, who has taught and fed us from her heart!
We hike, sit, greet the sun with morning walks in the heart shaped labyrinth, and deepen our understanding in mindfulness and stillness.
Completion of the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction class is recommended. Space is limited to 10 participants.
The retreat is now in its 2nd year. The spring retreat is April 11-18, 2010. See calendar for price and details.
